"Views of Caleta de Vélez"
The village of Caleta de Vélez is
situated at 37 km from Màlaga airport and is easy to reach from the A7 motorway,
exit nr 274 Caleta de Velez. The most interesting part of the village is
the fishing port and the marina. It is nice strolling there and watch the boats.
Every morning you can buy fresh fish at the spot. The centre of Caleta has a
main street with little supermarkets and other business and a little old church.
Every Saturday morning it is very busy in Caleta because of the street market.
Many tourists and other people come to buy fresh fruit and vegetables and you
can buy also ceramics, pottery, cloths and so much more. The village stretches
itself out over a few hills with beautiful surroundings and tropical gardens and
has quiet neighbourhoods with villas in Trayamar and Caleta del Sol. The
majority of the houses are within 1 Km distance from the beach and the sea. Next
to the Trayamar urbanisation is the 18 holes golf course of Baviera. From Caleta
de Velez starts the beach promenade which goes along the bay to the light house
at the other end of the next town Torre del Mar. Many joggers, skaters or people who
just like to have a little walk enjoy this beautiful promenade with constant
view to the sea and a healthy fresh see breeze. This village is recommended for
people who enjoy the life at the country side.

"Views of Torre del Mar"
Torre del Mar
is 35 km eastwards from Malaga. It means "the tower at the sea" and is a
part of the town of Velez-Malaga the capital of the Axarquia which is situated 8 km
land inwards. This region was already known from the Phoenicians as an important
trading centre. Torre del Mar lies at the mouth of the river Río Velez and
extends every day. It is an attractive town who offers you everything. The
centre has a wide choice of restaurants, pubs and tapa-bars. Also many boutiques
and a variety of shops welcome the visitors of this little town. Public street
market is on Thursday. On Sunday the locals like to stroll on the Paseo de
Larios and the beautiful beach promenade up till the light house. During summer
months there are plenty of water sports to try out. For the lucky ones who can
spend the winter months there are several sport centres where one can work out
his condition. When you leave "la Torre" in direction of Velez-Malaga,
you'll find the water park Aquavelis which offers an unforgettable day of fun to
many families. Nearby is also the hospital. Further on is the commercial
